"Murder in Mind"

Since their AS exams, over the last few weeks AS Leisure Studies students have been plotting, planning and shaping their ideas to put together some proposals for events to carry out in year 13 for their Event Management module. Today they presented the fruits of their hard work in front of the Principal.

The two groups worked hard to 'sell' each idea, proposing two exciting options for him to chose from, they were " a night at the races" a themed horse race night or "murder in mind" a murder mystery evening. Both groups intend to raise money for charity, and want to work with a charity familiar to the college and with whom we have worked before so they have opted to work on behalf of Breast Friend's, Solihull a breast cancer support group who helped last year's students so brilliantly.

Meanwhile back to the presentations, both proposals have huge potential, packed full of fund raising activities and ideas to make their events fun and enjoyable, it would be hard choosing between the two as both groups aquitted themselves so well. After much deliberation the event the Principal asked the students to continue to work on over the summer was "murder in mind". Now the hard work really starts as they finalise their plans and get ready to go to a final presentation with the Principal when they come back in September. will they get the final go ahead?
